Piers Walker (Peter Walker). Sydney (Australia) 1974 Murciano adoption since 1985. Son of Archeologist Anthropologist and designer couture.
"I started with this music since childhood playing piano at 6, and I q I started recording songs from the radio at 8-9. My first mixtapes. With 13 years I could buy the " It Takes a nation of a million " Public Enemy in the record store under my house. I started to play in Murcia 94-95. At the same time create a radio program called the Format along with Miguel Tebar (Murcia Radioactivity 88.0). Study at King's College London in the late 90s, so I soaked up the London scene.
In 95 I started writing for "Free Rock Magazine" (Barcelona). Cubría festivals and concerts. And on to interviews with groups and artists. In 96 he believes with Sergio Sanchez, Fernando Rosa and Rene Esquer (among others) the Collective Mojito (1st group of djs of Murcia capital). In the 97-98 I formed BREAKUNDERSUN djs along with Fernando Rosa (Visionario Eccentric).
I was also keyboardist murciano garage punk group "Morcon Baby", later known as "Nocrom". In 2002 I also began to work with the visual theme and integrated into Sinestesia me. "( Peter Walker )
- While he was explaining the history of hip hop put video interspersing explanations, such as the Beastie Boys and Run-DMC one.
Not knowing what was chosen by Peter Walker, I am going to put the following Run-DMC.Since it is the one I like and I think @LeyreViMa also would be the most like:
"Review of Hip Hop culture from its humble beginnings in the" ghetto "to become present in a musical style that embraces the" mainstream media ". We will review the synergies and musical influences that nourish the Hip Hop, from Jazz and Funk to Punk and Rock.We analyze the DJ-producer and Mc's to understand further the creativity behind this musical and cultural movement that continues to grow today. Electronic music. The latest 'revolution'. (René Esquer). interferences

"In the same way that the Rock was destined to be the tool for the new man, namely, citizens, urban man had a chance to react against the alienating atmosphere of this new scenario, the city and all that it carries, electronic music was destined to be the tool to rescue the Rock of always harmful clichés and complacent orthodoxy.
Where necessary symbiosis occurred could not be more appropriate. Germany, a country plagued floor atrocious ghosts, now buried under kms and kms of highways, allowing fast transfer of exports from an industry and a full steam escaping past cities. In search of an identity, a people who always had, and very full, but historical errors erased at a stroke, and with the lessons of Stockhausen well learned German rock (allow me the expression) he took the beast horns and surfed her go if she surfed ... the Anglo-Saxon rock in the 70s, with few exceptions, was a parody of bad taste of that rebellious spirit of its beginnings, and German musicians understood very well what they were those new electronic sounds and what could be done with them.
kraftwerk
Groups of German rock of the 70s laid the foundations of what was then the Belgian EBM, Italo disco, techno European pop, electro and techno from Detroit, and opened pandora's box for many other rock bands wanting take risks, from NEU, to Kraftwerk, via CAN, Faust, Tangerine Dream, and many others understood that machines and sounds offered them an infinite palette of possibilities, in them found the true sound of our era, the wild noise Industrial, rhythmic hypnosis capitalist stopwatch, meadows cosmic utopias, the Rock opened his eyes to reality ... and reality was critical ".
Lover like I am also of electronic music, which has evolved a lot, I might add something I've learned over the years. There are lots of groups and musicians from different musical genres that have declared themselves followers and influenced by the music of Kraftwerk, to my surprise.
You should be appointed to Sónar , as one of the most representative electronic music festivals, held in Barcelona and now in its 21st edition.
As for the music selection for this entry I chose Groove Armada , one of the existing groups, and this topic Paper Romance of his album Black Light (2010) , which I adore.
Needless to say that this post is dedicated to Pedro Angel Gonzalez Tostado, who discovered me this album and you also really like electronic music.

Around the world through the Rock of the 70's. (Juan Antonio Ross). interferences

"Since The Beatles made it clear that you can do anything; when LSD came into the minds of the youth of the 60's; when technology burst onto the music offering new keyboards and with them endless new possibilities, synthesizers like the  ARP 2600 , the (Mini) Moog or the Mellotron, which allowed the musicians to establish new or imitation sounds natural, as even a string orchestra or a human chorus without having them physically present. This explosion of possibilities opens up new avenues, as always, are echoed in all parts of the world although in principle its cradle outside the UK. Progressive, symphonic, Avant-Garde. Rio, Canterbury, improvisation, development ... no limits ... everything is possible ... from Argentina, Brazil, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, Spain and of course England ... A world tour uploaded on the ship Psycho-Prog -Sympho-Rock to dominate the music scene between 1968 and 1976 ... Jazz, Psychedelia, complex structures, virtuosity, Suits, Kraut- Rock ... everything is interconnected and try todecipher the ramifications, trends and issues that brought all this to the homes of any amateur ... the concept albums and the influence of classical music ... spinning on your turntable ... birth, rise and fall of Progressive Rock. 90 were indies. (Shaking 90: A perspective from the present). (Angel Sopena). interferences

Lecture series.  Interferences: a century of popular music connections. From jazz to indie.  Faculty of Communication and Information  at the University of Murcia. Graduate Hall.April 1 2014 18:30 h.
But what the hell is indie? In the late 80s popular culture had become tacky. The appearance of the Pixies, from there, Pavement, Nirvana and the explosion of alternative rock, and a little later the British response to the brit-pop, indie livelihood were in Spain.Unlike the more materialistic 80s, in the '90s obsession was independence. Without being a defined musical style, "indie" is characterized by opposition to "the mainstream".
Encompassed very different groups, but also with many things in common. Finished the 80s, where the music scene in Spain was phagocytosed by the so-called Movida Madrileña, 90 dawned with a number of groups seeking referents abroad, away with some embarrassment and in some cases with undisguised repair what he had been doing in our country. The major English language change was a symbolic statement of intent. They began to talk about new sensibility. In our country there was a change of chip internationally with the success of Nirvana, which facilitated that from multinationals that different profile "alternative" group primase.
indierock
Moreover, the British indie was already well established since the mid-80, which accelerated with the euphoria of Madchester. The result was a curious mix of different music, how loud to dance, who joined the indie common good of the cause. There were tours (Noise Pop 92), explosion of independent labels (Elefant, Subterfuge, Siesta ...), fanzines (the inheritance of Munster, Subterfuge, Stamp, the arc line, Waco) and festivals: from the Falset and Bullas (with It illuminated the front) to asparagus, BAM, and the Lemon Pop Festival Benicassim, "Indie" in those years, it was used more to define the spirit British bands derived C-86. Only the success of brit-pop and American alternative music the term was imposed as the generic for a certain generational spirit rather than for a particular sound. Australian Blonde, "Historias del Kronen" by Montxo Armendariz, "Open your eyes" by Alejandro Amenabar, Generation Next, Dover, campaigns Radical, "noise?" The Fresones Rebels, the tontipop, Vacations, I poisoned blue, Parade, the Blue House, the Wonders Hall, Journey to the Polar dreams, Disco Grande, Spiral, Factory, the Planets, Sexy Sadie, the Communist Tenant, Astrud, the Donosti Sound (La Buena Vida, Le Mans, Family) ... the broth was prepared. Definitely, the 90 were indies.

Music and languages

All who have ever studied a foreign language have practiced the pronunciation and listening to it through music. Whether listening to a song while filling in the gaps with the missing words (the familiar "filling the gaps"), or singing mimicking the pronunciation and diction of his lyrics.
From my personal experience, I have to say that is a very useful practice, since combines learning perfection in achieving an accent that is not native, with help in identifying the words spoken and written differently, which occurs in most existing languages (although this is not the case ours).
My learning as foreign languages started in the school almost exclusively written, it was usual in those days Here in Spain. It was not until I began my studies of English and French in the Official Language School , which started developing real learning of each language in all skills, oral and written.
That's why interested in the subject, so that I meet two of my greatest passions, music and languages, I started researching on possible studies performed. After my search I found a study by Daniele Shön, permanent researcher at the Institute of Neurosciences Systems Marseille (France), where research on music and its influence on the brain when learning is reflected.
As an example "La Symphonie neuronale" published in the National Center for Scientific Research in France , from which we extract the following paragraph:
"Une langue étrangère est trois fois plus vite apprise if elle est chantée. Pour les cérébrales observer activées zones, cette femme carrying a muni casque 32 électrodes.Les variations électriques du cerveau (électroencéphalogramme) sont alors reproduites 3D ".

A foreign language is learned three times faster if it is sung. To observe brain areas activated, this woman wearing a helmet equipped with 32 electrodes. Electrical variations brain (electroencephalogram) are then reproduced in 3D. (Translation by Eva Diaz Garcia).
Then we can add another article entitled "Songs as an aid to language acquisition" of 2008, article that goes to the issue at hand.

Music to study

Today we will talk about music when studying. Planteándome it is time, at this stage of course, to start studying seriously, I remembered that the disk with the most concentrated me and concentrate studying is "This is my truth, tell me yours" Manic Street Preachers, also the music of Coldplay  is one that I used at the time of the study and can say that with very good results.
Documentándome to address the issue before us today I want to present some of the views-work-articles I found about it. The first thing I found is a review of a book called "Teaching study, learn to study" Armanda Zenhas ... [et al.] Madrid: Narcea, 2002: red musical note

How music can influence our mood

To my surprise the music that is so everyday for me and that is one of my passions, has become over the years in my therapy. I did not realize until recently how you can influence my mood and how I use to feel good about myself and others.Hornpipe
When searching for information on the subject, I stumbled upon this interesting article of the journal Nature Neuroscience :  "Anatomically distinct dopamine release During anticipation an experience of peak emotion to music" (Valorie N Salimpoor, Mitchel Benovoy, Kevin Larcher, Alain Dargher, & Robert J Zatorre), whose main theme the influence of music in us since the study shows that create dopamine  to listen and enjoy the music.
